What It Is

A 6 × 9 m high-temperature thermal fire blanket engineered to be deployed over a passenger electric vehicle during a lithium-ion battery fire to smother the fire, suppress smoke and contain radiant heat.

Why It Exists

Lithium-ion battery fires burn at extreme temperatures and are prone to thermal runaway and reignition. The blanket provides a rapid physical barrier that limits oxygen supply, reduces flame spread to adjacent vehicles and helps protect personnel and property while the incident is managed.
